The Burke Summer Market is a weekly event that happens on Sunday mornings, starting from December until February. The market is held at the local park, and visitors can enjoy browsing through the various food stalls, artisanal products, and artworks on offer. The market is also a great place to grab breakfast or a coffee before heading out to explore the region.

The Burke Thundering Hooves Rodeo is a huge summer event that attracts rodeo enthusiasts from all over the country. The event features bull riding, bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing and other rodeo type events. It’s preceded by a parade through town and finishes with fireworks.

The Burke Country Music Muster is an annual event that takes place during March. The event is a great way to spend a weekend immersed in the country music scene. Visitors can enjoy live performances from local and national artists, a range of food and drink vendors, and the opportunity to camp under the stars.

Winter Events:

The Burke Jumping Crocs is a unique and thrilling event that takes place during the month of June. Visitors are taken on a boat tour to see some of Australia’s biggest saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat. The crocs go into a jumping frenzy over chunks of meat thrown off the boat. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart— an exciting winter adventure.

The Burke Winter Wine Fest is another winter event that’s gaining popularity. Held in July, the wine fest features tastings of local and regional wines, gourmet food stalls, live music and art displays. It’s a perfect weekend to warm up with some good wine.

Finally, Christmas in the Burke is a cheerful event that brings the community together to celebrate the festive season. The event features a range of festive-themed activities such as carol singing, lights displays and festive-themed markets.
